I serve as mentee to alumni member Susan Resnick, MSN, RN, RNC-NIC and hiring manager at AdventHealth Orlando. I meet with Susan throughout the academic year to gain insight into medicine, establish connections within healthcare, and build upon my professional development.

I was selected by my peers to oversee all events surrounding formal Panhellenic recruitment and member selection. These responsibilities included exemplifying chapter image and values, processing potential new members’ information, educating members about the process of selection, and ensuring the proper implementation of recruitment practices.
Formal Panhellenic Rho Gamma

Serving as a Rho Gamma allowed me to temporarily disaffiliate from my chapter to be an unbiased guide for eight young women participating in formal Panhellenic recruitment. In this role, I facilitated communication between Panhellenic and potential new members by directing new members through party schedules and assisting them in the voting process. I also acted as an impartial sounding board for new members to share their thoughts throughout recruitment.

Upon being nominated by my chapter, I was awarded the opportunity to model and monitor appropriate member behavior. My responsibilities included overseeing chapter image portrayed online and in-person, mediating conduct meetings, managing all event check-in and check-out processes, promoting safety at chapter functions, and attending post-event debriefings.
