Creatine and Resistance Exercise in Women (CREW)
September 2023 - January 2024
As a research assistant, I worked under PhD candidate Paola Rivera to conduct participant training sessions, various body composition assessments, and accurate data collection. This study investigated the effect of creatine supplementation and blood-flow restriction (BFR) on muscle growth in young women who followed a lower-body training regimen. This project meshed hands-on experience in human data collection with my passion for physical fitness and wellness.
Health Sciences Seminar Clinical Trial Presentation
August 2024 - October 2024
I collaborated with three peers in my Health Sciences Seminar course to critically analyze and present a clinical trial investigating the effect of a mobile unit on engagement in opioid use treatment. Resonating with my personal connection to opioid use and my hometown of Philadelphia, PA, this presentation allowed me to expand upon my research experience and delve deeper into modern initiatives that combat the opioid epidemic.
